Hello and welcome to my portfolio

I’m Connor Mckenzie, a web developer currently based in beautiful Christchurch , New Zealand. For the last 2+ years I’ve been working as a WordPress developer for Meta Digital here in Christchurch and prior to that I worked a similar role for The Fold based in Auckland. 

Throughout my career, I’ve developed my skills in executing designs to create dynamic and responsive web experiences for clients and their users. 

With over 8 years of experience in the industry, I’ve had the privilege of working with a number of different brands here in New Zealand including Frucor Suntory, V Energy, Mindfood Magazine, Wilderness Magazine, Local Matters Newspaper and many more. These opportunities have allowed me to hone my skills in a number of technologies, primarily WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS/SCSS and JavaScript, and I also work with TypeScript and React .

What I enjoy most about development is creating something genuinely useful. Whether that means helping a business present itself better, making information easier for people to find, or building functionality that solves a particular problem, it’s rewarding to see something I’ve built being used in the real world.

Outside of development, I enjoy reading, gaming, watching films and generally finding something new to learn about.
